Like our first BMW, we were able to find a car close to our ideal
without much effort.
Genny would like to have a plug-in electric car and given her comute and affiliation with the state electric vehicle programs it would make a lot of sense. However, there isn't really anything in our price range that comes close to the style and driving experience of the BMW's that we've owned. As we started looking for a replacement for the 335i, the idea was to get something used with low miles that she could drive for a couple of years with the hope that after that, an electric vehicle will be available that works for us. A couple year old 2 series seemed like the best choice.
While at the Toyota dealer to get some new wiper inserts, I spotted this 435i on the lot. I gave it a quick look over, but the price and mileage seemed to put it way outside our criteria. Just out of curiosity, I looked up on the internet to show it to Genny. Well, the internet price was quite a bit lower than the price on the vehicle. Turns out the Toyota dealer was trying to get it off the lot since it had been there for about 6 months. With a little bit of negotiating we got the price even lower.
It took a bit of research to figure out exactly what it was. Turned out to be harder than you'd think to figure out what packages/options the car actually had.
It is a Sport Line trim in Melbourne Red Metallic. We believe it was built with the following:
