This is part of my personal Mission Style furniture collection. It is the only piece of office furniture I've built so far. I built it because the cost of a nice one was more than I was willing to pay. Apparently a lot of other people feel the same way since I get a lot of queries about this. I'm slowly building complete bedroom set. After I finish the bedroom, I plan to make a couple more Mission Style pieces for the living room. I don't have any plans to build any more office furniture.
This is built from plain sawn red oak. The quarter sawn look was done by cutting the wood into strips and gluing up the panels from the strips. It was a lot of work to make the panels and I also ended up with a lot of saw dust.

It was stained with my custom mission stain and top coated with a thinned Minwax Gloss Polyurethane.
